How we handle what you share.
This policy explains what this website collects, where it goes, and what we do and do not do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
Tikkun Ascend is a program of Tikkun Ha'Nefesh. If you want to reach a person about anything on this page, write to admissions@tikkunascend.org.
What we collect
Only two things.
What you type into the “Start the Conversation” form. That includes your name and contact details, what brought you here, and your answers to a set of health and safety questions — about substances, detox, overdose, self-harm and psychiatric history.
Ordinary technical records. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — the pages requested, the approximate location, the browser, the time. We do not use these to identify you, and we do not combine them with anything from the form.
There is no account to create, and nothing to log into.
Why we ask the health and safety questions
There is one reason: to work out whether Ascend is safe and right for you, or whether you need something else first. Some people need medical detox, or stabilization, or a clinical setting that we are not. Asking is how we find out before you travel, not after.
It is a safety screen, and only that. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a clinical assessment, and it is not treatment. Tikkun Ascend is an experiential and spiritual program, not medical care, and nobody here is diagnosing or treating anyone.
Those answers are used for that one purpose. They are not used for marketing, they are not profiled, and they are not shared with anyone outside Tikkun Ha'Nefesh except in the narrow situations below.
Where it goes
Form submissions are sent by email to the Tikkun Ascend admissions inbox and read by a person. They are not stored in a database on this website. That is deliberate: the fewer places this information sits, the fewer places it can go wrong.
Three companies handle it on the way, and only on the way:
- Vercel hosts the website and runs the code that receives the form.
- Resend delivers the email.
- Cloudflare manages the domain and forwards mail sent to our address.
Once it arrives, it lives in our email, which is provided by Microsoft.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade or share it for anyone else's marketing. We do not use it to advertise to you.
We share what you write outside Tikkun Ha'Nefesh in only two situations: where the law requires it, and where there is an immediate risk to someone's life.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party tracking. If that ever changes — for example if we add website analytics — this page will say so before it does.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our admissions email while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back. If you take part in the program, records are kept for as long as we are required to keep them. If you ask us to delete what we hold, we will.
How it is protected
The website is served over an encrypted connection, and the form is transmitted encrypted. Access to the admissions inbox is limited to the people who need it.
One honest limitation: ordinary email is not a secure medical record system. It is how nearly every small program does this, and it is a reasonable place to begin — but if there is something you would rather not put in writing, leave it out of the form and tell us on the phone instead.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to admissions@tikkunascend.org and we will do it. You never have to give a reason.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law. Ask, and we will honor them.
Age
This website and this program are for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change it, we will change the date below. If we change something that matters, we will say what changed rather than quietly updating the page.
